Yesterday was my birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! I had a great birthday celebration and wonderful gifts too.
I had a silat lesson yesterday but we practiced inside as it was raining cats and dogs. This time, we concentrated on our ‘Lambung Kemudi’ kick and ‘Tebar Jala’ kick. All of us agreed that it was very, very tiring. At about 2:30 p.m., we rushed into dad’s car.
He was taking us to the Roadhouse Grill for my birthday lunch. Roadhouse Grill is a ‘cowboy-styled’ restaurant in Jalan Ampang. I love eating there so much that this is the third time I celebrated my birthday there. I ordered the delicious Roadhouse Ribs and so did mum and my little sister Aeshah. And as a birthday gift, the Roadhouse Grill served me a tasty brownie decorated with whipped cream together with a lovely drink. Everything at the restaurant was so tasty including the peanuts and buns too!
Back home, my little brother handed me a beautiful little gift from mum, dad and Ali himself. I quickly unwrapped it and… guess what??? … It was an Estee Lauder perfume! My sisters gave me a ring file; perhaps because they think that my cupboard is too messy 😉 Aeshah gave me a cardboard. Funny for a present… but very useful for my projects.
It was such a great day and I really enjoyed it very much. Thank you to everyone who had made my 14th birthday so special!
We love Thai food. Even though there are a lot of restaurants and stalls that serves Thai food in KL, it is not easy to find one that serves a really tasty original Thai cuisine.
Early this week, we had our lunch at our favourite restaurant in Subang Jaya (USJ actually). We do not live on that side of the city but the restaurant serves such an authentic and delicious Thai cuisine plus tasty drinks that makes it worth for us to drive all the way to Subang Jaya for a nice Thai meal.
Their tomyam is marvelous, I prefer the chicken tomyam while my parents prefer the prawn tomyam so we always have both. Mum love their fresh and tasty seafood; her favourite dish is the seafood salad that come in a generous portion of seafood and cashew nuts. We also love their chicken dishes such as cashew nut chicken and sweet and sour chicken.

I really enjoy their lovely drinks; they serves tasty yogurt drinks plus a lot of very delicious specialty coffee. Their ice-cream are nice too but I’m usually too full for any ice-cream after a nice meal over there!
Well, as people says – only Terengganu folks can cook an authentic ikang singgang; so only Thais can prepare an authentic tomyam!
Happy Father’s Day! My Father is one of the greatest people in my life. He is hardworking, very strict; but most of the time he is fun to be with. He took us on trips. We even went to the USA twice! We went there for more than two weeks on the first trip and for the second time for almost a month. He took us to all kinds of interesting places. He also took us to Indonesia and Singapore. He also took us to restaurants, parks, bike rides and all kinds of interesting activities.
He is also funny. He would tickle us and play with us. He also taught us computer… all kinds of computer software like the Microsoft office. He would always make sure that we perform our prayers, read the Qur’an and also remind us to be good Khalifahs of Allah. But unfortunately he is not a good cook. He can only cook maggi. 🙂
